Kotoba Mimamori is a free personal project that helps you gently review words before posting them on social media or elsewhere online. This page explains why Naohisa Aoki (@na0AaooQ) created the service, why it is currently free, and what it is trying to protect.
1. About this service
Kotoba Mimamori shows reference information about the strength, tone, and possible reception of text you plan to post on X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, LINE, and other online spaces.
It is meant to be a gentle cushion before posting: a place to ask whether the wording feels too strong, whether it could hurt someone more than intended, or whether it might be misunderstood.
It does not decide what you may say. It helps you pause, look again, and choose your words with a little more calm.
2. Why it was created
As an engineer and as an individual, Naohisa Aoki develops small systems with the hope of building social mechanisms where people are less likely to break in isolation.
Modern life can place invisible stress on many people. One source of that stress may be communication that loses sight of another person heart and feelings.
Kotoba Mimamori was created as one small step toward reducing that burden.
3. What this service values
This service is not intended to restrict beliefs, opinions, language, or expression. It also does not judge correctness in a one-sided way.
People have emotions, and sometimes words become stronger than intended. This tool respects your freedom of expression while helping you communicate with more safety and care.
At minimum, the project hopes to reduce one-sided and excessive burdens caused by words such as:
- Words that hurt someone from a position of advantage or hierarchy.
- Communication where several people corner one person.
- Expressions that deny a person existence or character.
- Strong wording aimed at people only because of a specific attribute.
The tool uses AI so it can be available when needed. AI is used to analyze text and show points that may concern readers, but it does not generate a full post for you.
Your words carry your own thoughts. The service is designed to respect that.
4. Why it is free
Kotoba Mimamori is a personal development project that is still being improved through small experiments.
At this stage, it is completely free so that people who may need it can try it and the service can be grown carefully.
5. Related Kokoro Mimamori projects
The same idea is also being explored in small tools that support people before viewing intense images or reading strong words online.
Gazou Mimamori: a Chrome extension that places a soft cushion before viewing unpleasant or intense images on X.
Kotoba Uke Mimamori: a Chrome extension that helps protect your heart before reading strong words on X.
